palm springs

For part of my new job as a Cancer registrar, McKay Dee paid for me to go the NCRA annual convention, in Palm Springs. I was so excited to get away, and Shannon decided to tag along with me.
We had a really fun time, and Palm Springs is surprisingly a very pretty little town. We went shopping on their "strip", ate at amazing restaurants (which were all outside), went to a gay bar (yeah...it was an experience!), and soaked up some rays poolside.
Every Thursday night, they have a huge street fair, which has food, music, and local crafts for sale. This was really fun to be a part of! Also, we found this shop called Lush Coture, where everything was $16! Yes, EVERYTHING! Needless to say, this is where we spent most of our time. I found tons of cute clothes!
I met so many nice people from all over the country, and learned a lot. Next year they are hosting it in Orlando, so I'm hoping I will be lucky enough to go again!

This was the last night we were here. We treated ourselves to some yummy drinks in the hotel bar. I'm so glad Shan is 21 now!

Me and Charity (my fellow Utah pal, who works at the Logan IHC) outside the conference center.

We went to this awesome art museum, unfortunately, they are really weird with camera rules, so this is the only pic we got.

  2. How fun! Especially since Shannon came too. It's fun to walk around a new city and see all their sites. I can't believe everything was $16! You always find the deals. Can't wait to see what you got.
