Updates...

In case y'all haven't noticed, I have not been great with blogging. I honestly just forget about it, until I see other cute blogs, and then I feel the need to catch up! So the big news for this month was that babe #2 is a BOY! We are so excited!! I have no idea what to expect with a boy. I was raised with all girls, and when Maddie came, I wasn't too nervous. I have a feeling I'm in for a surprise :) Maddie says she wants to name the baby Stars. I have no idea where this came from, but she doesn't like any "normal" names. So for now it's baby Stars :) Hope everyone had a great mother's day. I am so lucky to be a momma, and can't wait to do it a second time around. It's the hardest, best job in the world! It has made me a better person, for sure, and taught me many things.

sled ride

Last week, me, my mom, and my sistas went on a sleigh ride up by Park City. Thanks to Groupon, I found this deal, and it was really something different to do. We stopped halfway through the ride, to have hot chocolate and cookies in a heated tent, which felt SO nice!
We even saw some deer which was an added treat. Now I'm officially ready for the warmer weather to begin!

tobias #2

Well, as most of you know, we are expecting Tobias #2! My due date is September 12, and all of us are so excited! I have had the usual morning sickness, and been real tired, but I think both of those are getting better.
I went to my first doc apt yesterday, and I'm 10 weeks. Maddie always asks if the baby has come out yet, and I have to explain that it takes a LONG time for it to grow in mommy's tummy. She told me that it can play with her toys, and sleep by her at night. That warmed my heart, but I have a feeling she will be singing a different tune once it arrives :)

good read, and yummy eat

I just finished a really good book called The True Story of Hansel and Gretel. I am such a bookworm, and love to share when I find good reads!

I have been trying out some new recipes lately, and found one that I loved from Pintrest. Don't you all LOVE that website? It's so addicting! Anyway, you should give this one a try, I bet you will like it too. The only thing I would add are raisins, just because I love them :)

Cinnamon Roll Cake
Cake:
3 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 c sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 c milk
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 c butter (melted)

Topping:
1 c butter, softened
1 c brown sugar
2 Tbsp flour
1 Tbsp cinnamon

Mix everything together except for the butter. Slowly stir in the melted butter and pour into 9 x 13 pan. For the topping, mix all ingredients together until well combined. Drop evenly over the batter, and swirl with a knife. Bake at 350 degrees for 28-32 mins.

Glaze (best part):
2 c powdered sugar
5 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla

While warm, drizzle the glaze over the cake. It's kind of bread pudding ish! Enjoy!

new sales venture

Ok, so my newest sales venture for 2012 is paparazzi! My neighbor and me are kind of doing it together, so I'm very excited that it will be a success. I loved doing the Usborne books, but they were just expensive, harder to sell, and to keep inventory of. With Paparazzi, everything is only $5! So that's freakin' awesome :)
Anyway, if have quite a bit of stuff already, so if anyone wants to come over and browse, just let me know!

slacker alert

Well, it's official, I have been a major slacker when it comes to updating the blog. The holidays are so fun, but it's hard to find a free moment sometimes. My New Year's resolution is to become a more dedicated blogger. I love reading everyone's blogs, and I want to be as good as all of you at updating.
Here are a few picts from our Denver trip. We had such a fun time, and it's such an experience to go to an NFL game. We got real close to Tom Brady, even though he ignored us when we were shouting his name :) Tebow was awesome, as usual, even though he couldn't pull out a win. Cross your fingers we get into the playoffs!

fall happenings

Here are a few picts of our fall. We have gone up to Snowbasing several times, enjoying the awesome fall colors, and going on walks. Matt wanted to put his photographer skills to work, so one weekend we went around the Ogden valley with his cousin's family. They are the cutest, and Maddie loves Mercedes and Gabe. I will post Halloween soon...stay tuned!
